This is an informal group for folks interested in getting together occasionally to discuss home automation and security projects. Security Data Science is focused on advancing information security through practical applications of exploratory data analysis, statistics, machine learning and data visualization. Although the tools and techniques are no different that those used in data science in any data domain, this group has a micro-focus on reducing risk, identifying fraud or malicious insiders using data science.

I started the group to meet IT professionals of all levels. The purpose of the group is to bring together IT professionals in Marietta to discuss different areas of IT. Our main focus will be around Information Security, but we hope to focus on other areas as well.
